Let’s start with the most relevant reason I’m excited the NBA is back, because of Christmas Day. Especially in 2020, after you open your gifts Christmas morning, what is there really left to do for the day. Here’s where the NBA comes in, the league put together one of the best Christmas Day basketball lineups in recent memory. Each game is filled with both the best players of today, and the next wave for superstars
After the Christmas Day schedule is over, I’m excited that the NBA is back because the caliber of players the last two seasons has really been taken to the next level. You have some first ballot Hall-of-Famers in the twilight of their careers like Lebron and Chris Paul. You have sure-fire hall of famers in their prime like James Harden, Anthony Davis, Kevin Durant, and Steph Curry. And you have the next generation of All-Stars who are really making their mark like Luka Doncic, Devin Booker, Jason Tatum, Zion, and Ben Simmons. The league is so loaded with the past, present, and future of the league, I’m not sure who you leave off the All-Star Teams this year.
Next, I love live-betting NBA games. I absolutely love when the underdog gets a big lead early and for some reason, Vegas thinks they are going to hold on to it. You can live-bet all sports, but I feel like it’s different in the NBA. While there are 5 players on the court, one player can get hot, and singlehandedly get their team back in the game. As I type this, I’m watching the Suns leading the Mavericks 77-71 at the start of the 4th quarter and I live-bet the Mavs. Luca Doncic is the type of player who can take over a game, and at +275, I like the odds of him taking over.
Lastly, I’m excited for the fact that every conference has 10 or 11 teams capable of making the playoffs. While the Lakers and the Nets appear to be the frontrunners to make the NBA Finals, it honestly feels like the playoff race is wide open. And with only 72 games, it makes each game that much more important.
So to wrap things up, it’s going to be an Epic NBA season.
